My Story
My journey has been anything but ordinary. Through every step, I’ve focused on staying true to my values.
Coaching wasn’t always my passion. With a Masters in Global Health and Community Development, several years of development work, and experience in global health technical training, my career underwent an unexpected change. I landed my dream job working with the United States Agency for International Development as a Training Specialist. However this was not to do global health technical training, it was a job in professional development, investing in people being able to do their jobs better. This was a new area for me, but as I developed training skills, and expertise in new topic areas I began to love what I was doing. Nine years later I had the opportunity to take a coaching course with Symbiosis Coaching. I fell in love with the idea of being a continuous learner, and developing coaching mindset. My experience is a good reminder that shifts in our careers can lead you places you never imagined.
